So, about that “End of the World” -prediction.

Matthew 25:36, 42-44  “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the the angels of heaven, but my Father only. … Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the  house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

For sure the rapture could happen today or tomorrow- but it could also be 10 years or 100 from now.

You and I need to know how to spot a false teacher/preacher.

It all goes back to the Word of God. The answers are there and that is why you need to come to the point where you have it as a final authority in your life.

Do you know what God says? Do you have a clue?

Now, I will confess, I don’t know it all!

But I do read my bible daily, as a rule,  and I attend a church that truly believes the bible is God’s Word and that we all are responsible for knowing what it says. Our pastors give us study sheets so we can go home and prove what they say, from our own study in the scripture. Our church also provides discipleship based on Jesus’s command in Matthew 28:19-20.

{I’ll have links to free mp3 online audios and access to study sheets for you at the end of this post.}

This week I came across these posts in my email inbox and I hope you will take a few minutes to read them and look up the scriptures.  Each of us needs to know what we believe and why we believe it. Are you taking your favorite religious teacher’s word or God’s?

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and wonder why you should– take the Good Test.

If you live in NE Ohio and are looking for a real bible-believing, teaching, discipling church – full of loving but imperfect people who struggle with the same things YOU do– visit my church:  First Baptist Church of Jackson Township (Massillon, Ohio).   Its worth the drive apparently  😉  as we have those who drive about 45 minutes one way to attend.

*By the way, as I understand the End Times schedule- its goes something like this…

  • First the Rapture of those who right now in this Church Age have put their trust in Christ for salvation/forgiveness of their sins.
  • The Rapture kicks off the beginning of the 7yrs Tribulation – there will be 3.5 yrs of peace and then 3.5 yrs of “Hell on Earth” as the anti-christ is revealed/ and will claim himself to be “god”.
  • Then the Battle of Armeggedon…
  • Then the 1000 yr Reign of Christ…
  • Followed by the Great White Throne Judgement for non-believers. (Believers will not be judged for their sins as the unbelievers will, but rather by their works at a separate Judgement (not sure when in the timeline this happens)- they, themselves being saved because they trusted Christ for that).
  • You’ll find many scriptures to search for yourself here.
