This was the sky I saw this evening while walking at a local park. My husband and boys were playing in a ball field and I went walking with my camera.

And while looking at this beautiful sky tonight, I couldn’t help but think how I couldn’t imagine being separated from Jesus who is God…for eternity. Just looking at the sky and knowing Him personally left me desiring to be with Him. Right now. I don’t often “feel” like I’m ready to literally be with Him, but tonight, that’s how I felt. Like, just knowing Him was not enough. I was ready to be there, with Him.

And then late tonight as my head lay on my pillow I got to thinking about  how terrible it would be to be separated from God for all eternity; and I wrote this post you’re reading now. Because, you see,  I thought about my friend.

John 3:3 says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

I have a friend who doesn’t know Him. And I know others who do not know Him- nor do they realize what eternity will be like…to be separated from Him in that too awful for words place called hell. To never be able to go back and say, “Oh, now I believe! Let me have another chance!”

There is no other chance. We have to make a decision for Christ in this life. To make no decision is to decide against Him. Do you have a friend who doesn’t know Jesus?

Its only through Christ you and I can know God and live in heaven with Him for eternity. And not only for eternity- but in this life too.

Jesus Christ is the only one who give an abundant life. Eternal life begins the moment you receive Him as your Lord and Savior because His Spirit comes in to live inside you and to help you. The bible also refers to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, and comfort, He will.

Jesus says in John 14:16-17, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

You won’t be alone, even when you are alone. He won’t leave you, though others will leave you. You may lose friends and likely will, if you receive Christ. But its worth it. Your friends and family can’t forgive your sins or meet your deepest needs – only God can and He does it through Jesus.

If you knew Him like I do, you’d run to Him. Don’t wait.

One day, it will be too late.

Jesus said in John 3:18, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
