No. Not me, our house. Though I wasn’t so sure I didn’t get a little zapped as I was only feet from the tv and it took a hit and there was a loud noise… and the smell of burning in our home, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

Right now I’m kicking it back, uncomfortable-like,  on a small corner of a desk typing this on my little Netbook because …  our home was struck by lightning or a major power surge of some type.

Wednesday morning was my radio appearance on the iShop Talk Radio’s new show on WHBC and several hours later our part of town got that much needed rain plus some serious lightning that apparently got orders to strike our house.

It appears our house may be the only house on the street to take such a hit – maybe the only house that got hit period! A number of things have been ruined and every single day since the storm I think we’ve found something new to add to the list. Just when you think you’ve covered every appliance you find something you didn’t expect.

This morning it was a weird burnt, fractured corner of a large mirrored wall in the dining room. (Seriously?)  I’d show you the pic I took but I won’t be downloading it till I get my main computer back or replaced.

Anyhow, all that to say we are in the process of figuring out what can be fixed and replacing what can’t. I’m thankful for home owners insurance now and suggest if you rent – you get your stuff covered!

I’m sure this would be a good time to cue in some guest posts I’ve had sitting in the wings. What do you say?

Oh, before I end here, let me tell you I have more giveaways coming and there’s still time for you to enter to win 4 tickets to Cedar Point- go here.

Lots more to come, I hope you’ll hang in there with me and enjoy a couple posts from some of my guest writers!
