I saw a touching video recently that reminded me of God’s thoughts and actions toward His children; I’ll share it at the end of this post. But before you watch it, read the following verses. If you know Jesus as your personal Savior these apply to you!  I also want to be clear that the gospel of Jesus Christ is not a “prosperity” gospel, though that false teaching is prevalent today. But God does want to bless us and give us good things, read on.

(Jesus speaking.) “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give a him a serpent?  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”  Matthew 7: 7-11

Spiritually speaking, if you’ve obeyed the gospel by trusting Christ through faith to forgive your sins, you are born-again into God’s kingdom. He is your heavenly Father!  As a side note I want to add that this is why its so important for our earthly fathers to be a good example. They are a picture of who God is! Of course, our earthly fathers are not perfect and fail us many times; but God is perfect and never fails!

And this…

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (Emphasis mine.)

Remember that. He can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think! Are you losing faith that God will meet your needs? Or are growing faint in well-doing or in praying for the salvation of a lost loved one? Don’t. Show God you will trust Him even when it seems as if there is no hope. Commit this verse to memory:  “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due timeCasting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”  I Peter 5: 6-7  (Emphasis mine.)

It is true, He does!
