Off-grid pantry planner

I am a single mom, raised in NJ, living in NC. I had always been on the lookout for a way to have the freedom of having my own business, but it became even more important when the economy took a downturn last year, and my company started laying people off–it was time to put a backup plan into place. I chose Ameriplan because it is a financially sound, nationally accredited company, and allows me to really make a difference in people’s lives, which is something that was very important to me.

My business, AP Benefits Plus (an Ameriplan affiliate), offers affordable healthcare savings in the form of our Dental Plus, or Total Health Plus plans. Members. We have Dental Plus (dental, vision, prescription, chiropractic) for $19.95/month and Total Health Plus (medical, dental, vision, prescription, chiropractic) for $39.95/month. Both are household plans, so folks can really save a lot of money without paying so much. We also offer ID Securenet Plus ($19.95), which allows folks to protect themselves and their loved ones, again at very discounted prices, with Identity Theft protection program, roadside assistance, discounted legal and financial services and FBI-approved national child ID program. In addition, as a Regional Sales/Training Director, I also mentor others who want to start their own business with Ameriplan.

Starting my own business has been very exciting and rewarding, but most of all empowering! I have gained a lot of confidence, and learned so much about myself and others through my work.  It is also very liberating to have the freedom to choose when, where and how I work, but because I really enjoy what I am doing, it doesn’t even feel like work. Ameriplan offers a great residual income, and my goal is to build that residual income so that I can quit my full-time job, and become more actively involved in church ministries. I have a dream of working with children in orphanages, and having my business will allow me to do that.
