Update: I lost all 5 of my original Castaway Bay reviews when my hosts’ server and backup files failed. I am condensing some of them in this post.

I was one of a dozen mom bloggers invited by Castaway Bay (Sandusky, Ohio) and the ThunderTech marketing group for a private viewing of the Spa at Castaway Bay this past weekend- and they gave us and our families a free overnight stay along with 4 waterpark tickets to their indoor waterpark.

They spoiled us right away with snacks and souvenirs on the table in our room (pictured here). {I had actually been eyeballing some of these things down in the gift shop before we got to our room!}.  Thank you Castaway Bay &  Melanie and Misty (our ThunderTech girls!).

My husband and I had been wanting a chance to “review” Castaway Bay and this was it!  The only other time we’d been here was in 2005- a few months after they had first opened it and our oldest was just a baby.

Now that our kids are older they were able to enjoy so much more that Castaway Bay has to offer. Its not just a waterpark and spa…I plan to tell you about all the things we experienced and learned about  that makes Castaway Bay a great place to vacation as a family!

Oh yeah, and there is a special deal in this for you too- that will be in tomorrow’s post when I talk about our room But for now I’ll share that between now and ONLY for the date February 27th you can get a special $99 rate for the standard Starfish room (2 double beds and 4 waterpark passes.
