Chicago Reviews

My husband’s employer sent him to Chicago to help with a trade show. This was a first and they allowed him to take us with him making this is a work-vacation. Though we spent four nights in Chicago, we also spent one in Indiana visiting my Grandma. Thats 5 nights away from home.

We’ve been to Chicago before, but not for this long. We had a lot of fun as we walked the streets, got lost driving them (not so fun), visited museums and played in the hotel which was connected to The Merchandise Mart.  Some days were long as Joel was at work and it was just me and the boys (naps were mandatory).

Check out my 7 tips for traveling with young children, what I learned from this trip.

I took lots of pictures and some video.  My Chevy-GMC friends gave us a GMC Yukon XL Denali to drive out there for free. Talk about a sweet ride… I felt like I was riding around in something someone like a CEO would drive clients around in. Oh wait! I think they do 😉  . You may or may not  have seen this video of the spaciousness of the Yukon before we packed it up for the trip.  More to come on the Yukon later.

For now, below is a video view (you’ll have to click through to the blog to see it) of our room on the 21st floor of the Chicago Mart Plaza – Holiday Inn. If you go to my YouTube.com/tzdelar channel you’ll find a video of Chicago outside of The Merchandise Mart…trains, river taxis, buildings…my kids.
