“Each year, 1 million students fail to graduate high school. This scary statistic, proves it is increasingly important to
support today’s youth. This Back-to-School season, BGCA and long-time partner Disney have launched an online supply drive. By simply playing a pop-quiz style game, you can help donate school supplies to local BGCA Clubs. For every five correct answers, a donation of supplies will be made!”

As one of the Ambassadors for the Boys & Girls Club of America,  I just went over to the website here and played the game for myself. It was fun and easy- and I learned a little bit about BGCA. Even though I answered wrongly many times I was given the chance to answer till I was right. And that’s the key to you and I donating free school supplies: answer till you get it right! It didn’t take long at all.

Disney is helping to give out 40,000 of these free supply kits to Club kids for Back-to-School. So just by playing a pop-up quiz-style game you can help donate school supplies to local Boys & Girls Clubs of America. So, please take a couple minutes and play – be sure to answer till you get the right answer.

Something for Parents

The BGCA website also offers a lot of educational content for you as  parents who are preparing  to send your kids back to school!  When you visit the homepage here you’ll see a list of 7 checkboxes next to links. For example,  click on the first one,  “Help your child set Goals” and you’ll be taken to a list of 10 Ways to Help Your Child Set and Achieve Goals. You can even download and print the PDF if you want to keep a copy for yourself. I shared a couple I liked in my last post. Today I’m sharing a few others below.

Thinking About College

I hope you’ll take two or three minutes to check out the Boys & Girls Club of America website and play the game to help another Club Kid get some free school supplies and you may find some helpful, creative ideas to help your own kids in other ways!
