Back in November my family and I had the awesome opportunity to fly to SW Florida with Spirit Airlines to try out their non-stop cheap flights to four Florida destinations. We chose Ft. Myers and then drove to Marco Island where we stayed at The Boathouse Motel and then experienced a number of the wonderful places that Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades offer!

All of our major adventures were covered for us (including our visit to Rookery Bay) and I want to tell you about them all! Opinions are my own.

Paradise Coast is the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau that set up an itinerary for us (find them on Facebook here).

So far, in addition to showing you where we stayed, I’ve told you about Princess Dinner Cruise we attended.  I have several more places to get through! This post is about the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center.

“The visitor center offers a variety of hands-on experiences, including 2,300-gallon aquarium and interactive exhibits addressing research and stewardship efforts ongoing within the Reserve, as well as a nature store, gallery and picnic area.”

We walked a trail outside of the building as well checked out some of the features inside the building. Admission is very affordable and I’ll leave a link to the website below so you can get more info.
