A delicious place to tour for free (as of the time of this posting) is the Fannie May – Harry London chocolate factory in North Canton, Ohio. The boys and I joined a local homeschool group this day for a tour which included a free sample or two of their fine chocolates.

The guided tour takes about 45 minutes and begins with a short movie and introduction to the company. Guests can look forward to learning about the history of the company and walk an upper story hallway flanked by windows where they can look down on the inner workings of the chocolate factory.

The tour ends in the Fannie Mae – Harry London gift shop where you can find lots of yummy choices to take home for later! They even have gelato. My boys enjoyed $1 cups of vanilla gelato while we were there.

The chocolate factory tour availability depends on production schedule and groups of 20 or more require reservation. At the time of this posting, tours are free and go hourly: Monday – Friday, 10am to 4pm, July to April and Monday – Thursday, 10am to 4pm, May and June.

Other important notes include that this working facility has limited accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted. Cameras and cell phones are not permitted on the tour path. Notify your guide if you need additional help. Visit their website here for more information. (Phone) 800-321-0444 ext. 119
