Last month, for the first time ever we got to visit the Great Wolf Lodge waterpark resort in Sandusky, Ohio.  We were invited to help raise money and awareness for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of America.

Not only was this our first time there, it was our first time locking both sets of keys in the van.

To the left you see Brendan looking out the second story window from above the lobby- looking into the waterpark. There are some small tables and chairs along with wall where you can sit with your coffee and read the paper. I love that! Not that I got to do it while I was there, but I love that they offer that setting.

Great Wolf is decked out to the hilt with log cabin decor and we enjoyed staying the night in one of the Family Suites. It was so roomy, I highly recommend it!

We had a beautiful stone fireplace and two tvs, coffee mugs hanging in our little kitchenette too- and around the wall you see in the picture below was a couch, lamps and coffee table.

What you can’t see in this picture is the kitchenette behind me and the large spacious bathroom.  There is a balcony outside the sliding glass doors and an outside pool as well.

Great Wolf also has a kids’ story time program which involves animated robotic characters- and Indian girl, a pioneer boy and woodland creatures.  It drew quite a large crowd of families.

I love that Great Wolf Lodge has a unique theme/decor for their waterpark/resort: Woodland.  The lazy river was a favorite for our family because of our young boys who can’t swim yet. The boys also enjoyed the tree slide/kiddie pool area you’ll see in the video below as well. My husband and I enjoyed the big tube slide. It was great,  be sure to go on it!

Be sure to visit the Great Wolf Lodge, Sandusky, Ohio website for more information.

*Disclosure: Our family received a free nights stay which included waterpark passes in order to help raise awareness and money for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters foundation in part with Great Wolf Lodge. Opinions are my own.
